StrangeBee is a cybersecurity company founded in 2018 by three former Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) professionals—Thomas Franco, Nabil Adouani, and Jérôme Léonard—who previously worked at a major European financial institution. The company develops and maintains TheHive, an open-source incident response platform that originated in 2014 as an internal solution to address the growing number of security incidents and false positives faced by large organizations.

TheHive serves as a case management platform designed for security teams to detect and respond to threats. The platform enables security operations centers (SOCs) and incident response teams to manage security incidents through collaborative workflows. The project began as an open-source initiative and gained worldwide adoption over four years before the founders established StrangeBee to provide dedicated support, additional services, and enhanced features to meet growing client demand.

The company operates with an international team representing 18 nationalities and serves customers in over 50 countries. Their client base includes organizations across various sectors including financial services, technology, automotive, and telecommunications. StrangeBee continues to develop TheHive while offering professional services and support to organizations implementing the platform for their security operations.
